With cooler temperatures and vivid colors of changing leaves, fall is an ideal season to play at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.
Brickyard Crossing caters to players in autumn through lower greens fees and special course maintenance.
Greens fees for an 18-hole round, including a GPS-equipped cart, will be reduced to $70 starting Tuesday, Oct. 6. That's a $20 savings over spring and summer greens fees.
The course is closed Mondays during October. Aerification, the annual punching of holes into the greens and tees, will be conducted Monday, Oct. 5 if weather permits. The vital process of aerification ensures healthy turf all year at Brickyard Crossing by relieving soil compaction, enhancing root growth and reducing thatch.
Brickyard Crossing is one of the few courses in Indiana that provides leaf vacuuming in the fall, which lets golfers maintain a normal pace of play instead of spending extra time looking for balls in fallen leaves.
The popular Twilight Golf program also continues in the fall. Greens fees are just $55 after 3 p.m., including a GPS-equipped cart.
Brickyard Crossing, the 18-hole, Pete Dye-designed championship public course on the grounds of the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has received accolades from esteemed golf magazines for its design, natural setting and variety of challenging holes.
